Disgusting,Disgusting,disgusting....

January 6th 2008 07:03
An Australian author has written an article about the caste and creed of Indian Players in an leading Australian Newspaper. Can that be a credible Newspaper which carries an article filled with wrong facts. It is understandable that the author was doing some "off the field"assignment for Cricket Australia. But can't they find some credible soul who knows the ethics of writing. In this age of Internet it is appalling that such a fiction is published in some sham paper. The image of Australia has taken a beating and people from every part of world are horrified by the blatant lie and cheating adopted to win a test match.

Australian Media should either stop search engines to crawl on their web sites or become professional.Acting as the newsletters of Cricket Australia.

This is such a sad day for cricket that a fictional plot is written, created, enacted, with the support of the officials and Local media to win a game.Everybody has shown his true colour and character in the process.Disguting...disgustin g.....disgusting...

It's only just found it's way to cricket? Been around for years as far as I can see.

As far as I'm concerned if someones going to believe crap then they may.

I am sick of Indian fans and those highly-strung moralistic people who've probably never played sport in their lives whinge about Australians cheating to win this Test match. Get over it! Australia did everything they could to win the Test and it was all within the rules and SPIRIT of the game. How often in a game does a team appeal for an LBW decision or caught behind from an edge which the umpire does not give out. If the umpire happens to raise his finger and agree, why is this called cheating? Every single game of cricket is filled with decisions of this nature, some go your way and others don't. The beauty of cricket is some days things go your way, other days it doesn't. What is AGAINST THE SPIRIT of cricket is to sit back and whinge like a sore loser when the umpire gets it wrong. Or to stand your ground, refuse to walk off and then swing your bat wildly at ground signage in disappointment. That is more unsportsmanlike than excessive appealing. Stop acting like children.
And another point, name any other team sport in which players are obliged to do the job of the referee/umpire/official and tell them if they've broken the rules. There are none, so why should cricketers have to "walk" when they edge a catch the umpire misses. Players are paid to win and umpires to make decisions. Let them do their jobs and as a fan do yours, enjoy the fact you got to witness a remarkable game of cricket where players from both sides produced amazing performances.
