Australia has replaced Pakistan !

South African Cricket team is now the number one ranked team of the world as per the official ICC ranking system. They are going to visit India very shortly but there is no buzz in the environment. After the high voltage Australian series the excitement seems to have died down a bit.Hopefully, the South Africans will spark a fresh interest in the series by some audacious Cricket.
Australia has replaced Pakistan as far as the intense rivalry is concerned. There can not be a better sight in cricket then the Bret Lee bowling a fierce spell to Sachin Tendulkar. The way Bret Lee bowled throughout the series is unparalleled as per as visual pleasure goes.Undoubtedly,he is the best visual treat these days and his smiling demeanour makes him very endearing.Strangely ,he was matched by one rookie,Ishant Sharma whom nobody knew a few months ago.
There is a tearing fast bowler with the South African team also but he is no match of Bret Lee.Australia has lost one of its most destructive batsman and match winner,Adam Gilchrist, which will affect them certainly because a player of the caliber of Gilchrist surfaces once in a century.Mathue Haiden also seems to be on the verge of retirement and once that happens,Australian Cricket will suffer a lot and will not be able to retain its numero uno status.
India has found some good replacement which augers well for the future and this South African tour is another opportunity for them to show their mettle. Will they be able to justify the expectation?
